Power of Fasting

I'm learning that fasting and praying is the most powerful spiritual combinations of things a Christian can possibly do. Coming back from another country and into a life full of entertainment and distractions it's so easy to remove focus from the thing we should value most in our lives. I had to separate myself from something or remove it completely to replace it with more God. For more breakthrough, more depth in the spirit, revelations, and being in tune with what God is speaking into my life during this season. It's a time of a lot of transition and excitement; a new chapter.

I want to be so willing to sacrifice something for something better, to pray to win something over for God's kingdom. It's not about twisting His arm but I just had an urgency in my spirit to realign my heart with God and for Him to reveal anything that needed correction in order to fulfill the purpose He has for my life. A divine calling for something requires a divine preparation of prayer. We cannot lose the power of prayer by trying to do things on our own accord. We must tap into the power of Jesus to move angels and demons. It starts in the spiritual, then moves to the physical.

So many things have happened in the physical as well as the spiritual over this last week and I credit it all to these powerful tools and the power of God. My purpose was to seek the face, mind, and heart of God to reveal things through consecration. To go deeper in my prayer life through intimacy with Jesus and denying the flesh from instant gratification of food. Practical lessons I'm learning are patience, humility, self-denial, perseverance and increased focus. I want focus on God. There are so many things in this world that are battling for our souls and affections, including food. Through fasting it helps me tune into God's voice, conviction of the Holy Spirit, and making me a catalyst for awakening and revival.

God has given me so much vision for this summer back in Glendive and things happening in the church, youth, and community as a whole. I'm so excited to go home and build relationships and invest in people, serve like Jesus. To know that this season is to go about the Father's business. It's going to be a time of revival of the heart, reformation of the lifestyle. I can't waiiittt!! :)
