As a young adult with a vision for the future, I've been in prayer as to where God wanted me to go and take the next step to join Him in the work He's doing. Several of my friends attended Youth With a Mission (YWAM) and it's been tugging on my heart for the last couple years. Through much prayer, doors opened and my opportunity to help the hurting nations set my heart on fire. I want a deeper understanding or who God is and have amazing opportunities to show His love and compassion. In obedience to what God placed on my heart, I'm raising financial support to attend the Compassion DTS (Discipleship Training School). YWAM is a non-profit organization that gives young people with a call to missions the opportunity to evangelize around the world. The Compassion DTS is a 24 week program for those who have a heart that yearns to show God's compassion to the poor and needy, and to bring hope to the hopeless. The first 12 weeks are focused on studying the Bible, God's character, seminars, worship, and discipleship. The following 12 weeks are spent putting the training into action on an outreach into the world. This will enable me to show the love of Jesus where many haven't even heard His name. This is such a rewarding opportunity and I feel so blessed.
I ask that you will pray for boldness for me to share the Holy Spirit with those who are hurting and lost, for safe traveling, good health overseas, and anything else the Lord lays on your heart. James 5:16 says, the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much. Thank you so much and I will do my best to have frequent updates and posts about this exciting journey!!
